Unix timeOn this device

Unix time is a count from 1970-01-01 00:00:00 UTC. This page shows that instant in UTC and in the time zone of this device. Switching seconds and milliseconds changes how the number you type is read.

How to use it

  1. Press Now, or type a whole number.
  2. Or set the local time field.
  3. Copy the four lines: UTC, local, seconds, and milliseconds.

Good to know

  • The local field uses this device’s zone. It does not ask for a city.
  • A value that is not a whole number is refused.
  • Nothing is uploaded.

Questions

Why is the clock an hour off?

The local line uses the device zone, including daylight saving. UTC in the result does not.

Does a 13-digit number mean milliseconds?

Only if you select milliseconds. The page does not guess from the length.
